Dips, dressings and salsas can truly become the highlight of a dish. Most store bought products contain sugar and other ingredients that are less than optimal when following a low carb keto diet. Making them at home is not only healthier, but can save money! I find that homemade condiments are far more flavorful, customizable and less expensive than store bought, especially when it comes to creamy dressings and dips like Blue Cheese Dressing or a delicious Sesame Ginger Dressing. If you are hosting a party or just need some great dippers, try some Low-FODMAP Guacamole or a Tomatillo Green Chili Salsa (Salsa Verde). They're perfect additions to keto burrito bowls or tacos. One of my favorite condiments that can also be served as a side dish, is Keto Skordalia. This savory, tangy dish can be topped with olive oil and spread on flatbread or grilled fish or used as a base like grits - topped with savory sausage and shrimp.
