TIP: The flavors will continue to grow and combine the longer it sits. While this can be used right away, it's best to make it a day ahead of time for even better flavor.
Making a paleo and Whole30 BBQ sauce
To make this compliant for paleo and Whole30 diets, simply eliminate the Worcestershire sauce and molasses and use date paste as a sweetener for Whole30. Coconut sugar makes a wonderful molasses substitute for a paleo BBQ sauce. It has a rich molasses-like flavor and blends well the other flavors of the sauce.See post for variations and storage instructions.
